2019-06-18autotools: REMOVAL!Marcel Hollerbach
Get your seatbelt fastend! It is happening! AUTOTOOLS IS GONE NOW! All praise to meson! This time the final version, ci has been adjusted, and now does not try anymore to build a removed buildsystem. However, the scripts in there need cleaning up. Differential Revision:

2019-04-15Windows : fix the definition of EAPIVincent Torri
Summary: with autotools, EFL_BUILD was passed to the preprocessor for libraries and binaries, which was wrong. Only libraries must have EFL_BUILD defined. See T7797 for an explanation This also fix EAPI in Ecore_Getopt.g and Efl_UI.h Also note that all the wayland and drm Makefile's have not been touched Test Plan: compilation Reviewers: raster, zmike, cedric Subscribers: #reviewers, #committers Tags: #efl Differential Revision:
2018-08-08build: define PACKAGE_BUILD_DIR as $(abs_top_builddir) for all test suitesMike Blumenkrantz
Summary: this needs to be consistent so that it can be used reliably across suites also these build flags really need to be consolidated into a single variable that can be reused Depends on D6666 Reviewers: devilhorns, bu5hm4n Reviewed By: bu5hm4n Subscribers: bu5hm4n, cedric, #committers Tags: #efl_build Differential Revision:
2016-08-02build: do not dist now longer available filesStefan Schmidt
Another cleanup for commit dd1d3f0d2d8f7369f7461f54928eac2a4fce99fb. These makefiles are now longer available better not try to dist them.
2016-06-10build: split EXTRA_DIST files in src/ off from DISTFILES and handle separatelyStefan Schmidt
This is again to avoid the "Argument list too long" error we are hitting more and more now. Given we just merged elementary, emotion generic players, evas generic loaders and elm_code it is not surprising we are hitting it again. This time the number of files being hold in DISTFILES has just grown to big so a make dist was no longer possible. If one looks at what the DISTFILES variable from automake holds you can image it grows a lot with all the source files plus generated files we have in tree now. DISTFILES = $(DIST_COMMON) $(DIST_SOURCES) $(TEXINFOS) $(EXTRA_DIST) To cut off a big chunk but still keep all the other automagic in place for SOURCE files I went and renamed the EXTRA_DIST in src/ to EXTRA_DIST2 and handle the files in a dist-hook now. Another thing to note here is that this also only happens as we have the one big Makefile with includes. If we go back to per directory Makefiles this problem should vanish as well. In any case we need a solution for 1.18 now and this is what I have to offer. If you have a cleaner solution in mind feel welcome to test it out and if everything we need keeps working (make, make examples, make check, make benchmark, make dist and make distcheck) go ahead.

2016-02-16Test rework #6: EetVincent Torri
This one is big: I had to split the huge eet_suite.c into separate test files and it needs more review
2015-05-07Revert "autotools: enable make check per individual modules."Stefan Schmidt
This reverts commit 35119e7bfdc7c13c2041293f3d0b2ebe1fb7c313. Reverted to bring make check back in a working state. Also the way we want to handle a more modular testing needs discussion.
2015-05-07eet: Remove direct usage of lz4 as we use emile for this now.Stefan Schmidt
Left over from the point where it got migrated to emile.
2015-05-07autotools: enable make check per individual modules.kabeer khan

2014-11-25Eet: add diffeet a tool for diffing eet files.Tom Hacohen
This is not perfect at the moment, as the decoded output might change drastically in some cases, however this is still useful for the other cases. Anyway, we should fix the eet decoding to have a consistent order, so this will be more useful. @feature.
2014-10-29autotools: fix build with NEON support.Cedric BAIL
2014-08-22build: Allow to use external liblz4 instead of embedded copyStefan Schmidt
While we are likely will keep the embedded copy for a while to avoid a really new dependency we allow now to use the external liblz4. You need at least revision r120 and a package that ships the pc file for it. Personally I would like to get rid of it rather sooner than later due to the security implications and a bunch of code we ship but have no idea about. Reality is that it will need some time until this new lib is actually packaged and shipped with releases for a a majority of people. This patch was co-worked with Doug Newgard <>
2014-06-13Eet: Add support for ETC2 encoding and decodingJean-Philippe Andre

2014-03-07Eet: Added vieet a tool to edit eet files.Tom Hacohen

2013-03-12Tests: Output XML to build dir, not source dir.Tom Hacohen
2013-01-15efl: use autotools testsuite for running testsLucas De Marchi
Instead of just making our own "check-local" and calling the binaries ourselves, just append them into "TESTS" variable. Then they run after all check_PROGRAMS are compiled. The reasons for changing are: 1) If we change the test and call "make check" the test is not compiled again -- and the only way to compile it is to "make clean". 2) There's no need to reinvent the wheel here. With a recent version of Automake, the test output is redirected to log files. This is good but unexpected for whom was used to the previous way. So, be warned. SVN revision: 82841
2013-01-14efl: simplify automake.Gustavo Sverzut Barbieri
Instead of -I$(top_srcdir)... -I$(top_builddir)... and then do it for the .la, use the EFL_ macros to generate the contents to be used in automake files. There is a nasty bit that libtool will parse Makefile*.am and will not get _DEPENDENCIES from _LIBADD and _LDADD if these are in @REPLACEMENT@. To solve this we must explicitly set _DEPENDENCIES. The contents of this is almost the same as _LIBADD or _LDADD with the "_INTERNAL_" replacement name. I hope the code will be result will be shorter and consistent as there is less places to change when we add/remove dependencies. Statistics are quite impressive (diffstat): {{{ 37 files changed, 663 insertions(+), 1599 deletions(-) }}} SVN revision: 82785

they were using $(PACKAGE) that is now "efl". SVN revision: 82211
2012-12-31efl: refactor CFLAGS, LIBS, LIBADD and LDADD usage.Gustavo Sverzut Barbieri
- remove EFL_LIBS and EFL_CFLAGS, use per-lib values that inherit from EFL (general) - add NAME_LDFLAGS and EFL_LDFLAGS for linker flags. - LDADD (binaries) now use NAME_LDFLAGS instead of NAME_LIBS, as they link to and that will pull in the libtool dependencies SVN revision: 81915

2012-11-01efl: Fix parallel makeLucas De Marchi
When creating the rules to build, we can't declare the lib dependencies in LDADD/LIBADD using $(top_builddir)/ because automake doesn't know this is related to the libbla_la rule. Please check if evil works, too. Since I don't run evil code, it's untested. SVN revision: 78800
