Jean-Philippe Andre 9a2d4928f0 elm: Rename elm_layout to Efl.Ui.Layout
Some names have not been changed, hopefully making a distinction
between legacy APIs and internal code (elm_layout_blah) and valid EO
usages.

This means many internal functions are still elm_layout_ as their
sole purpose is to support the legacy API.

Jean-Philippe Andre 4ca83755ed slider: Fix slider legacy API
See 4e79dd0f02

That patch was absurd. Do not change the use of a legacy stable
API when you change an EO API. If you need to do that then there
is very clearly a problem in the patch.

This reverts the test case to use the legacy API (which in turn
calls the EO API anyway so both are tested).

Daniel Hirt 49b838c448 Canvas text cursor: move to Efl.Canvas.Text namespace
Originally it was its own object.
There are some valid claims that there is no justification for it to
remain an object.
Furthermore, it's apparent that it added little benefit: changes of
each cursors, in practice, triggered a query for all objects of the
same textblock. There wasn't real advantage to have a finer resolution
of controlling the cursors with their own events.

This ports back a lot of code, and changes a lot of other code in the
higher-up widgets, such as Efl.Ui.Text and co.

The usage was replaces from:
  efl_canvas_text_cursor_char_next(cur_obj)
to
  efl_canvas_text_cursor_char_next(text_obj, cur_obj)
that is, it is an operations on the TEXT OBJECT, rather than on the
(now removed) cursor object.

So, one less efl object to worry about now.
Hopefully, the port went smooth.

Sungtaek Hong 9dd997f389 elm_panel: set hidden property when panel is close/open
Summary:
 - elm_panel has a property named hidden which stores
   open/close status.
 - This is updated when:
    1. bring_in animation is done(anim_stop_cb).
    2. mouse_up on panel.
    3. API is called. (elm_panel_toggle, elm_panel_hidden_set)
 - In case 3, API changes hidden, and starts bring_in animation
which will call anim_stop_cb() which will update hidden again.
 - If bring_in animation is canceled (eg: sizing_eval),
anim_stop_cb will be called and calculate hidden status
which will not guarantee updated hidden state by APIs.

Test Plan:
   1. Call any APIs which will call elm_layout_sizing_eval(panel)
      right after calling elm_panel_toggle()/elm_panel_hidden_set().
   2. Delete content of panel during "toggled" cb.

This is a copy of the "Flip Page" map usage example that relies
on the new set of APIs for EO. This was used to test the API

The calculation being done in absolute values, this does not
really exploit the new API, but instead proves that it is on
par feature-wise.

The performance is worse than with legacy, because of extra list
walkings, map calculations, small struct allocations and eo calls.
This fixes the shadow of the page which was broken with the legacy
API (as color_get did not recalc the map).

A better implementation can probably be done without having
to rely so much on absolute coordinates.

Or with a C++ syntax:
  obj.rotate(45.0, NULL, 0.5, 0.5);

Or even simply (with default arguments):

The map transformation functions are:
 - rotate

 - zoom
 - translate (new!)

Jean-Philippe Andre acb9ae70fe eo/elm: Simplify box/grid EO API
After talking with @eunue I realised that the way I'd first
implemented the box/grid "pack" API was simply too complicated.
I had tried to make it possible to change the layout function
at runtime, like good old evas box, but since there are no function
pointers in EO the final design was really convoluted.

If someone really needs to change the layout of a box at runtime,
just create your own subclass, or unpack all items and repack them
in a new box.

Note: there are still some issues with the layout params & flow

Jean-Philippe Andre 513d686628 elm_test: Add slider to control blur radius 2017-04-14 11:26:43 +09:00
Jean-Philippe Andre 1336b2d9e0 evas filters: Expand snapshot regions by blur radius
When using a snapshot object we have access to exactly all
the pixels below it inside the snapshot surface. So, in order
to produce a nice blur, it is necessary to expand this snapshot
and then clip it otherwise the edges will look a bit ugly.

Unfortunately, there are still places where blurs didn't look
so good, as objects below an opaque region would never get
rendered into the snapshot object. So the edges, inside a
snapshot object, around an opaque region would have blur
artifacts.

This fixes that by shrinking the cutout regions by the radius
of the filter. Eg for blur this is the blur radius.

The test case in elm_test can exhibit this fix very clearly:
a red glow would be visible around the opaque rectangle, but with
these changes we instead see the blurry edges of the objects
below the rectangle.

Jean-Philippe Andre 5bce7120f1 evas filter: Implement blur filter in pure GL
Wait a second though, this implementation is not only incomplete
(no support for box vs. gaussian blur), it's also insanely bad in
terms of performance. Small radii may work fine, but at least blurs
render properly in GL with this patch (no more glReadPixels!).

The shader needs a lot of love, including in particular:
- support for 1D box blur single pass
- support for 1D gaussian (or sine) blur
- use linear interpolation and N-tap filters
- separation of 2D blur in two passes (high-level logic)
- potentially separation of large 1D blurs in 2 or more passes
knowing that 2sigma == sigma + sigma when it comes to the gaussian
  bell curve.

Jean-Philippe Andre 2ef8d6f39a evas filters: Refactor ector and gfx filters A LOT
Alright, so this is a massive patch that is the result of
trying to get rid of unused or poorly implemented classes in
ector. Originally ector was meant to support VG but extend to
things like filters as well. At the moment, ector's design
makes it quite hard to plug in the filters.

For now I think it's easier to implement the GL support for
the filters directly in the engine, where I hope to interfere
as little as possible.

This massive patch keeps only the required minimum to support
a versatile gl buffer that can be mapped, drawn or rendered to (FBO).
It's extremely inefficient as it relies on glReadPixels and lots
of texture uploads, as well as conversions between ARGB and Alpha.

Another type of GL buffer is a wrap around an existing GL image,
but that one is read-only (map or draw: no write map, no FBO).

No, all the filters run fine, and the high-level implementation
(evas_filters.c) does not need to know whether the underlying engine
is SW or GL. One problem though appears with the blending or blurring
of some Alpha buffers, the colors are wrong.

This patch removes more lines than it adds so it must be good ;)

Jean-Philippe Andre 265c851a8f evas gl: Fix version detection for GLES 3.1
It was assumed that GLES 3 would only work with EGL but in fact
OpenGL 4.3 & 4.5 are supersets of GLES 3.0 & 3.1 respectively. So
GLX should also support GLES 3.0 or GLES 3.1 for evas gl, if the
driver supports it, of course.

Of course while doing this patch things didn't go like they were
supposed to go. I'm currently using NVIDIA's proprietary driver,
that conveniently provides EGL with GLES 3.2. But wait, there's
a catch: GL_VERSION is "OpenGL ES 3.2 NVIDIA" except that none
of the functions of GLES 3.1 or GLES 3.2 are actually supported.
Those functions are only present in the GLX/OpenGL variant of the
driver. Thanks so much for making my life easier...

So yeah, this patch contains a hack for those invalid versions
of GLES 3.x. What was supposed to be a small fix became a huge
mess.

Also add a comment about the possibly invalid auto-upgrade from
GLES 2 to GLES 3.

This adds a test case in elm_test, but only to verify that
elm_glview_version_add(3) actually works. We need a proper GLES 3
test case, eventually (and 3.1, 3.2 of course).

Jean-Philippe Andre fb797611ed scroller: Adjust rare case when content fits but bars are visible
This was simply annoying me. A scroller packed inside a box 150x150
should have enough space to hold an object of size 140x140. That's
a whole lot of 10 pixels margin!

This patch adds a special case code when the content "seems" to fit
inside the box but still one or both bars are visible. One problem
is that we can't know from the theme how much margin is used by a
scroller even when its bars are hidden. So we have to try to remove
them and then recalc to test.

This definitely adds quite a few more calculations if the state of
the scroll bars changes, but the result is way more pleasant :) This
should be limited to corner cases anyway (when the content size is
within 0 to ~20 pixels of the scroller size, depending on the theme
of course).

The test case is adjusted to show that same size content triggers
a show on the bars (because of theme margins). See CtxPopup test.

Jean-Philippe Andre 7c2259adc8 elm: Remove elm app client/server implementation & APIs
This removes EO APIs related to an unmaintained client/server
model for applications. The reasons for this removal are the
following:
- unused
- no support in E
- relies on dbus as the sole transport layer
- unmaintained since the original patches
- only EO API (iow: beta, never released API)

I've also never seen the test cases (in elementary_test) actually
work.

According to Gustavo (k-s), the original author of this feature
is not involved in EFL at the moment, and unlikely to be in the
near future.

Note that terminology has in the past used those APIs when it
was still using some beta EO APIs. This code is now long gone,
removed in terminology commit 3ffcbadd6f9881472db6 (2014/12/13,
for version 0.8.0)

If someone wants to step in and maintain the implementation,
protocol and (EO) API, then feel free to revert this patch
and revive the feature. But it will need to be more solid than
this implementation.

This is a (minor) API & ABI break in Eo.h!

I say minor as eo_override shouldn't be used yet (EO is unstable
and this patch includes all the use cases in EFL).

I'm not very happy about the new form of the macro, but it avoids
two things:
- passing in a struct (valid in C, but never used in EFL)
- using a GCC construct to create structs on the fly

It was inspired by the event array define, but I don't think
we need the runtime memcpy here.

Jiwon Kim 38db4b4c03 elm_entry: remove unnecessary text clearing in text_set
Summary:
When text_set is called for entry, it sets to empty text
before calling _entry_text_append().
but, _entry_text_append() has 'set' parameter.
Therefore text is set in that function, and clearing is not needed.

It can fix "changed" smart callback is invoked multipe times
when a short text is set to entry.

In addition, if text length is larger than ELM_ENTRY_CHUNK_SIZE,
set text directly as amount of chunk size and idler will append
about remain text.

@fix

Test Plan:
1. elementary_test -to "entry5"
2. click "set 10000" button
2-1. changed message should be printed 1 time
3. click "set 10001" button
3-1. changed message should be printed 2 times

Jean-Philippe Andre b8fd5e875a test: Fix strange black rectangle in a test case
elementary_test -to "Entry on Page Scroll"

Click on "Click this and close popup"

A weird rectangle would be temporarily visible while the
popup is fading in. The rectangle was the block_events
rectangle. By default, elm_popup blocks events, and its
parent must be the whole blocked input area. This fixes the
parent in the example.

I think the block_events region should be fading in and out
as well, because it looks terrible right now.

Note: this changes the position of the popup, but makes
the whole "block_events" thing actually work (avoiding
other render artifacts).

It supports the same syntax as the config value, but

Its get() value should be what was effective when the window was

Youngbok Shin 14cbd23d29 Edje, Elementary: Remove <password=off> tag when password mode is disabled
Summary:
When edje_password_show_last option is enabled, the edje_entry uses <password=off>
for showing last character. But, when password mode is disabled by the elm_entry,
<password=off> is remained in the text. It can cause some problems.

Because, there is no way to control password mode by API for the edje_entry.
The elm_entry can't remove <password=off> tag before getting text from the edje_entry.
So, the patch adds edje_object_part_text_hide_visible_password() function and
the elm_entry will use this when elm_layout_theme_apply() is called.
@fix

Test Plan:
1. Run "elementary_test".
2. Show "Entry Password" demo. (Newly added by this patch)
3. Password mode is enabled. Put some text.
4. Click "Show Password" check box to disable password mode.
5. Put more text.
6. Click "Hide Password" check box to enable password mode again.
7. See a character among the text is visible. (without this patch)
