Child Windows don't respond to 'close' on two applications.. #12

Further to a bug report on #e IRC about child windows not closing with an ancient and rare Linux port of the Audio program energyXT which was acknowledged I am now running into the same issue with the Cinelerra-GG Video Editor when an effect settings Window is opened. Cinelerra has a checkered past but Cinelerra-GG is a very much improved and powerful Video Editor and can be found here as an AppImage:

I can live without energyXT if I have to but I use Cinelerra-GG daily and unfortunately Enlightenment would be an absolute no-go for me if this issue can't be fixed.

To reproduce this issue import a Video on to the Cinelerra timeline, right-click and select attach an effect, click on the magnifying glass to open the effects settings window and click within it to make changes, then try to close the effects window... it will not respond and will remain visible and the window contents may go blank.
