Hannes Janetzek 887264eed4 added e_gadcon_locked_set: with this gadgets can lock the gadcon from 
vanishing, like with e_shelf_locked_set. gadcon providers set their own lock 
function with e_gadcon_util_lock_func_set, which is called by 
e_gadcon_locked_set.

Gustavo Sverzut Barbieri 78c70d7f94 fix sting bugs with e_fm and fileman. 
* simplify eina_stringshare usage with _eina_stringshare_replace();
 * do not modify the string in stringshare as in e_fm2_parent_go();
 * use custom_theme_content instead of custom_theme in e_fm2_custom_theme_content_set().

Hopefully this will break nothing, but further analysis if it's
leaking strings in the stringshare should be done.

Carsten Haitzler 33367511af add 2 more pages to wizard - 1 to add .desktops for your user for apps that 
might not have them - if the app is installed, and to allow the user to
select what goes in their ibar to start with. only .desktop files in
~/Desktop left to deal with.

Cedric BAIL 773d102291 This commit is huge. I did test it a lot on my computer, and it run fine here. 
But is so big i fear i could have broken some piece of code. So report any wrong
behaviour to me (cedric on #edevelop).

So moving e17 and efreet to eina_hash. With a little efreet API break so they
must come together.

toma 9375493c3e Opened up some more possibilities for window maipulation icons. In go the new Application icons. The application icon is now used for shellscripts in efm. Restructured the icon names so theyre all in the 1 place in file managers and in the .edc file.

EXPECT a configurenotify to match. this is wrong. wm's are free to ignore
configurerequests if they liek - and dont have to thus send

So far no icon size changes, just mode between Grid Icons, Custom
Icons and List, one can choose to go back to default (global) setting.

TODO:
 - select icon size when !list
 - save state using e_fm_custom
 - child directory should inherit parent settings

Similar to enlightenment_fm_open but uses DBus instead of E IPC. We
need more code to set it up, but it is more extensible.

Carsten Haitzler 5a29e1f6b5 syscon module added - provides a system entry in main menu (build in one gone 
now). syscon has a poup with buttons (configurale) that offer all the
logout/reboot etc. stuff. also able to extend with more items or inline them
into the theme too.

not complete. need config for being able to extend the syscon popup (and use
it) and no gui config for configuring what should appear and how it should
look. possibly theme should have custon elements for the ones curently using
button + icon look. also no keyboard control.

Carsten Haitzler 60827e2c96 battery module now will use hal - if it finds it, for battery info. tested by 
killing hald and seeing if fallback to batget works. :) at least if hal is
runing and already monitoring power/battery and polling - e will just flow
along with it. pre-hal batget still is there.

Command line and configuration option to have Enlightenment to start
with desklock, so we can avoid a login manager and still be safe, but
everything will be loaded and you get a better user experience.

Carsten Haitzler 26c18a5116 back to working on wizard. page 000 is just a splash page. does nothing 
interestign except pause for 2 seconds so the "welcome to enlightenment"
title it sets can be seen (and disable the next button). 010 is the laguage
selector - borrows a small bit of logic code from the langaue config module
so it can just list known supported locales on your system let you select,
and move on. it's special in that it implements its langauge choice the moment
you hit "next" (the page hides). this is so further pages are in the selected
language (which they are. and that's so cool).

Carsten Haitzler 307d52edfd major changes!!! 
init splash now merged with theme - default theme has both. saves space on
disk and just in the end is cleaner. can still select spash separately - but
now themes should provide splashes. you can have just splash files in the
theme dir - but won't be much good for full themes.

default theme now is b&w - all moved over and building. it's now default.
default splash is just default theme etc. etc.

this may cause some problems - so i'd just check your settigns and maybe
re-selct your init splash as it may not exist anymore or be found and thus a
blank splash until u fix it in config.

hmm... there is a bug thoug - i think fileman related. will check. missing
something in theme.

toma a3c3d2c23f Icon work. HUGE revision of icons and their names. This breaks the icon theme API so you might need to revise some themes. It does however, simplify a whole lot of stuff. You'll notice a lot more icons in menus. This bigger changes will come with the new theme once it is done. The missing icon names are put in b_and_w theme for now so if you need them, look them up. Also a bit of base work for EFM and the border icons in there. Commented out till the old icons are merged in. Message me if anything is screwed up.

Davide Andreoli a964e85dc2 Add configuration options to gadman. 
Now you can choose the type of background (theme default, custom color, custom image or transparent).
And you can also choose to enable/disable the animations for gadgets/background.
The custom background image can be any of the e17 background or even a normal (jpg, png..) image.

This BREAK all existing themes :(
I will update the b_and_w theme tomorrow

Carsten Haitzler 071ba50d45 e now supports scaling based on screen dpi (or on a custom scaling factor you 
can select yourself as a user). also any scaling either calculated from dpi
or set by the user is limited to the min/max values a user can impose (thus
even if you have very low dpi, e doesn't go below a scaling factor you set -
eg 1.0 or 0.5, and same for upscaling).

this should

1. keep all the people who want scalable UI's happy (enable scaling).
2. make e able to (if u want) to adapt to pretty much any dpi screen and
selectively scale just what u want it to.
3. allw you - the user, to be the final controller of just how much to scale
- if you like scaling but think it scales too much - then limit it or set
your own.

right now this will onyl work if your theme supports it... the b&w one does
(mostly). so try that and test. other bits of e need to adapt to this too
(shelf, icon sizes, etc. etc.) as they are not done via edje but code sets
them.

toma 3d453c017d Remove dup entry for mixer in b_and_w, Made widget/new for use in modules as its not really the same as 'add' in most cases. Applied that change in the ICM module so its uses the right widget name, added a pager and mixer icon to bling aswell... also, filled out some dummy icons in blingbling. Will make some icons for those soon. The idea is to make icons that can be used in blingbling and the new theme. Removed a whole lot of whitespace too, thanks to Scite. Its turned off now.

Gustavo Sverzut Barbieri 7815347098 Make 'Profiles' dialog consistent with others. 
Profiles used to have a 'Select' button between 'Add' and 'Delete' and
just a 'Close' at the bottom, now the 'Select' is gone and it gained
'Ok' and 'Apply' buttons, making it consistent with other

toma 4a16cd4191 Bit of an API break for themes. The icon to tell you something is set is now enlightenment/check and not enlightenment/e. This gives a more logical display that something is set. Ive added the changed to blingbling too to maintain an icon in that spot. Other themes will need to create an icon called e/icon/enlightenment/check to get this working. It is used in the Adv theme selector, profiles, colours, fonts and language.

toma 74bea17d1d Textblock in. Revised the use of textblock tags and fixed up all the modules to use it more correctly. This style may need to be repeated across all the E-MODULES-EXTRA modules for unification of styles. The altered .desktop files still look perfectly fine on BlingBling and a few other themes Ive tested it with. The textblock style itself could probably do with a little tweaking.

Carsten Haitzler 9d7329da99 some mixer fixes (icon, code), a connman module - beware. not fully working 
(well working up to the point whre you can select a network - at that point
connman itself just stares dumbly at you and does nothing - so right now it's
some form of connman bug i suspect). it doesnt save config or load - so you
need to re-init each time and the graphcis are... let's just say.. sucky. for
now theyare test graphics only. suto-connect if network found etc. doesnt
work as well.. can't even connect first time... i can clean the rest up so in
theory it works - but in practice, won't be useful until connmand (back end)
works properly.

Carsten Haitzler 16b851a43c move battery fetching/polling of info to its own sub process, pipe of stdout 
to read like tempget. this means e cant hang hen polling - much better for
the mainloop. also clean up the code a lot. all battery specific "driver"
code is now in batget - this means it much nicer to later add hal battery
info fetching as that is also a remote service (and just not execute batget).
i also fixed up (in theory) the new 2.6.24+ /sys/class/power_supply parsing
to i think work better in more situations. i'm testing on a device i have
that does it - let me know if its wrong...

scrollfram smart/widget) using your "finger" anywhere in the view. not useful
for desktops. useful for small screen devices - openmoko/n800 etc. are
perfect targets. just click and drag with your finger, release. drag fast and
releas and you get momentum and it continues for a bit while it slows down.
configurable via a new config module.

2. pager module namespace changes - this was still dirty afdter the namespace
cleanup, so clean it up
3. add a powersave subsystem - doesnt have an "automatic" way to turn on and
off right now, this i think is best provided by modules (that do things like
monitor acpi status's (eg close lid of laptop), AC power status etc. etc.
this allows e to nicely defer "power" expensive actions to avoid disk
spinups etc.
4. move to use the new ecore poller system  - discussed long ago as part of
power management/saving issues. now it exists
5. add a canvas idle flush call that helsp cope with the new shm greedy
software x11 engine stuff
6. use the new powersave subsystem where appropriate
7. fix non-zeroed/initted memory access in e_fm_main
8. fix mem leak for e menus
9. remove ipc handlers for changed/removed config values
10. use animaotr not timer for menu scrolls - then menu scrolls obey the fps
config
11. fix up timer/poll happienss of cursor idle stuff
12. remove avoid damage from popups for now - causing problems
13. change battery and temp readouts to b e shorter so they fit
14. pager can emit signals on focus change for mini-windows now
15. temperature module now uses a slave process and uses stdin/out to talk to
it and get output - this makes e smoother as in my expereicne i found getting
the temp on my laptop actually took like 200ms so e "hang" for 200ms while
reading the acpi files - so now the subprocess does it and just writesa back
to e when it gets it.

ecore:
1. add ecore_pollers. see the documentation on them in doxygen comments :)
2. fix timers to only go off when they have to - bug there that made e's
select time out a LOT more than it needed to. defensive coding hid the
problem. now fixed. e should be much more power friendly now.
3. formatting/niceness in ecore_exe stuff
4. some comments on comments with SIGIO ideas vs. select
5. add call to be able to add an idle enterer at the start of the list of
them, not just the end (as has been the default)
6. fix ecore_evas to support auto evas idler calls after 0.5 secs of idle in
all canvases - and to do it right
7. if argb destination - set the shape EVENT shape (to mask out events in
transparent regions much like shape does withotu translucency)
8. in ecore_x add support for the event shape

evas:
1. fix cache to work properly and not just always fill up (as it seemed to
like to think cahce useage dropped below 0 when it didnt and thus just
over-fill)
2. software x11 engine now ONLY uses shm segments - no ximages over the
socket. this ximage hack was there to avoid the 2 round trips involved in
setting up an shm image - now i mitigated that wih an shm image cache pool.
it keeps shm images around and repurposes them for new update regions if
appropriate. this means many fewer shm creates (about 1/100th the number) and
since we recycle the memory less 0 memory page filling by the kernel - in the
end, i recorded about a 10-20% speedup over the old software x11 engine.
simple tests i have seen up to 120% speedups. idle flush now does something -
it frees all the cached shm segments. it has a hard-coded limit of 4mb worth
of shm segments (or 32 segments - whichever comes first) to keep around. once
can never complain much about speedups methinks :). also evas will defer sync
until the NEXT frame is written - this means evas can calculate the next
frame of data while x dma's/copies the images to the screen at the same time
(if you hve a dual core or multi-cpu machnike or your xserver is able to use
DMA to copy image data to the screen/video ram then this should see a decent
speedup).

Hannes Janetzek 963bf6eaa6 added keybindings to trigger to show the pager popup and to cycle through 
desks without immediately switching to another desk. one switches the selected
desk if all modifier keys are left. (just think of the winlist behaviour :)
it is also possible to manipulate the pager popup by mouse like a shelf pager

Miculcy Brian 7bb7bb21dd Allow to disable mouse slide on newly focused windows. This is consistent with sloppy and mouse 
focus but some users don't like it much, so here is the option...
Remember: It breaks the focus logic when you for example have sloppy focus mode, pointer over a
window but focus on another window!

Christopher Michael 5528215b82 Subscribe to module update event. This will allow Config Panel to have 
dynamic adds/dels when a module gets loaded/unloaded; ie: If you load module
that makes entries to Config Panel, then the Panel lists will dynamically be
updated with those entries.

module api getting kicked about. 1. modapi calls for config and about are gone
core module api call for about dialog gone (not needed anymore). use module
.desktops for about info in description. config should go via the config
