With E25.4 git 2023 11/14 with Elive on Bookworm(12)

Certain (not all) Qt5 based programs like "smplayer" and "flameshot" open child dialogs (like 'Save as ...', or 'About ...') show up with transparent content. The widget/window borders are visible, just the content is illegible.
Some are hidden behind the parent window seemingly as if they didn't open at all.

I don't see the problem here. smplayer for example:

I do see a blank save dialog for flameshot... but only if "don't compositoe fullscreen windows" is enabled in look->composite settings->rendering in e. turn that off and it works. also just resize ther window an it appears. i suspect e's compositor is switching between compoiting and not compositing (some fullscreen window taking over everything appeared or disappeard) and the initial pixmap for the first time is broken so it needs a bit of a kick in this corner case if the window appeared while compositing was disabled? try disable that setting...

Hmmm, flameshot's save dialog now works too, even if 'shooting' full-screen. No idea why, maybe I rebooted or restarted or something.
I've been playing with themes, changing them a lot.

Makes me feel foolish :(
