Subject: [E-devel] [Patch] elm_config_font_overlay_apply bug fix
[Current Issue]
- The API applies the changes with elm_config_font_overlay_set().
But at the first time, application fonts have not been changed after
elm_config_font_overlay_apply api is called.
The application fonts changed only when the display is updated or
elm_config_font_overlay_apply api is called again.
[Main cause]
- When the elm_config_font_overlay_apply is called at fist time, it
calls
edje_text_class_del and edje_text_class_set in locally. But
edje_text_class_set just returns without _ejde_reclc() when new text
class
is ceated.
So in this case, there is nothing to be changed.
Since second call the api, edje_text_class_del api calls
_edje_recalc() in
locally. So the application fonts are changed.
[Change Description]
- There is two method. The first is to enable ejde_test_class_set api
is
can be recalced when the fist calling.
The second is to add _elm_rescale() function in
elm_config_font_overlay_apply API. This occurs edje_recalc effect
after font
overay set.

Change Description:
- Year min/max values are moved to elm_config.
- Format specifier must come along with % followed by any separator. ( % 123d is not supported but %d will denote Date format specifier)
- Field separator can constitute multiple spaces, Space followed by any other non format specifier is also treated as the separator till its max length. ( %d x/ %b #2 format displays 27 x/ Mar #2 )

I talked with you about 4.0, magic number.
I want to change the part that the length of mouse dragging multiply 4.0
to _elm_config->thumbscroll_sensitivity_friction.
4.0 is nice. But some device may want to change the value. It is a kind
of sensitivity. So I added the config "ELM_THUMBSCROLL_SENESITIVITY
_FRICTION". And I change the value mean. If the value is high, it is
more sensitive. The range of the value is from 0.1 to 1.0. It cannot be 0.0.
4.0 changed to 0.25.

This contains a very simple and stupid window manager to be used in
FB, PS3 or similar single-window engines. Everybody is welcome to
improve it, particularly:
* Edje: better border decoration theme
* Edje: nice background
* C + Edje: taskbar with minimized items.
* C + Edje: find a better protocol to determine window size,
accounting border decoration without account shadow! Right now I'm
taking everything :-P

Hi all,
I found few memory related issues in elementary package when performed static analysis on it.
These issues include:
Array indices getting out of bounds, freed memory address being passed to a function as parameter, memory not getting cleaned up because of earlier return statement.
Issues details:
1. In elm_widget.c inside function elm_widget_signal_callback_del(), it is possible that freed memory address esd is passed to the sd->callback_del_func(). I think it should be data, not esd.
Moreover what if the callback frees memory for data, then the other problem is that the return value is data from the function elm_widget_signal_callback_del() which in my opinion can be a problem.
2. Inside directory src/edje_externals for files elm_genlist.c, elm_notify.c, elm_list.c, elm_thumb.c and elm_map.c, array indices can go beyound bounary.
sizeof() operator for an array of character pointers will return [number of elements in the array * size of (char*)], basically 4 times the number of elements which has been taken care in assertion inside src/edje_extenarnals
while performing assertion but has been missed in the next statement in the loop condition.
3. In file src/lib/elm_config.c inside function _elm_config_profiles_list, freeing of file iterator has been missed out.
Please review the attached patch and let me know your opinion.

Mr. Govi in SISO made a patch for following description.
Detail Description:
1. If EFL/Elementary Application has i18n String with its own PO file,
then Elementary will end up looking for internal Strings at application
PO files. Passing PACKAGE name in the Elementary String Look up macro
eliminates this issue and looks for internal String from Elm.po files.
2. Macro E_(str) is used, to differentiate the elementary Strings from
commonly used #define _(str) in the applications. ( Just E ed :) )

I'm now populating the default theme with text classes, just commit
with one for now. There can be tweakings at Elm config app's UI fonts
page, I know, but that will come later (editable preview field, font
hinting/fallback, blablabla).

This is configurable by the 'thumbscroll_border_friction' config value,
and by the 'ELM_THUMBSCROLL_BORDER_FRICTION' var.
0.0 means: disable the friction
0.5 is the default
1.0 means: maximum friction
I have tested this with every scroller in elm_test and seems to work
well in all the occurence, if you see somthing strange in some scroller
please let me know.

This is still a work in progress. The idea is to have two different profiles:
one to be used on desktops and another for mobiles. To make it possible, I've
added some fields to the config struct and in the following commits the widgets
will start using that configuration so when they are created the default
configuration of the profile is applied.

Tooltips are set using elm_object_tooltip_content_cb_set(), that
returns the desired Evas_Object to use as contents, or using the
helper function elm_object_tooltip_text_set() that uses that
underneath.
The behavior is controlled part on elm_config, theme and user
application. In elm_config one defines the tooltip timeout. The theme
defines the padding around cursor x/y and window border x/y, as well
as the look and feel. Last but not least, the user application may
want to change the tooltip style with elm_object_tooltip_style_set().

This is not doing much now, just the version field in the struct,
some stuff stolen from E and a base to use when new things are added.
There are some comments in the code about what to do in certain cases
that E does not have, like a system update, new config and apps linked
to the old version still running when the config Atoms are updated. These
things we'll probably be addressed as they are needed, as well as come
clean up in quick code I ditched in there, but it would be good to do so
with more feedback from the good guys around that like to break SVN
every now and then.
Since the commit message is already long enough, I'm adding some more crap
just for the sake of doing so. I could go with some tl;dr thing as well,
but I don't feel like resuming what's up there.
